Screen Printing

Screen printing is our primary method of production. We do not have any offset, lithographic or flexographic  printing presses.

Largest Image

We have printing presses capable of printing up to 4' x 8' in a single pass.  We can print larger images, but they must be printed in sections.  For example, we can print a 4' x 20' banner. With our press  it must be printed 3 times per color.

Die Cutting

Our steel rule die cutter has a maximum image area of 14" x 22".  We do not  do thermal die cutting.

Pad Printing

Single color pad printing is available. Our pad printer is manually operated making it suitable for short runs. It is especially good at printing golf balls.

On Site Sign Installation

We sometimes install simple ground level post signs, but as a general rule, we don't do on site sign installations. We don't have a crane or a bucket truck. We don't install signs beyond the reach of simple extension ladders. We don't do any electrical work nor do we install light boxes. If you're in our area and you need this type of service, we can refer you to local sign shops that do this type of work.

Digital Imaging

We have a large format inkjet printer. It prints using CMYK and can handle images 35.5" wide by almost any length. It prints on a variety of media.

Sheet Fed Printing Presses

All of our printing presses are sheet fed. Some are semi-automatic. We do not have any roll to roll or automatic printing presses.

Halftones

If you don't require fine screens, then you can use halftones in your artwork.  Since we use solvent based inks, halftones are not easy for us to print. To compensate for the difficulty created by the solvent based inks, we generally use halftone screens of 25 to 45 lines per inch.

Special Fabrication & Finishing

We have a small wood shop equipped with a variety of wood working saws, drills, routers and other tools. We also have a limited number of steel working tools as well as a mig welder. We often construct special displays, signs and frames for special projects.

Large Sheet Trimming

Our main paper cutter can handle 50" stock.   We also have a slightly more accurate cutter that can handle stock sizes up to 30".

MAC vs PC
Files

In an effort to make it as easy as possible for you to provide us artwork on disk, we have both MACs and PCs in our art department.
On our brand new G3 PowerMac we have Quarkxpress 4.0, Adobe Illustrator 8.0 and CorelDraw 8.0. On our PCs we have CorelDraw 8.0, Adobe PhotoShop 5.0, Signlab, and Postershop.

4 Color Process Printing

It is difficult for us to print anything but coarse halftones, so we are not currently offering 4 color process printing.

Scratch Off Ink

Screen printing is the by far the best method for applying specialty inks.
One of the most common specialty inks is scratch-off ink. Most instant win lottery game tickets are printed with scratch-off inks. We can print scratch off inks without any problems.

Fabric Printing

Most fabrics are printed with plastisol ink which must be heated to 300 to 400 degrees in order to cure (dry).  As long as the printed piece can fit through our 24" heated conveyor dryer, we can print fabric.

Cap Printing

We offer single color printing only. Caps must be suitable to screen printing.

Cylinder Printing

If you only need one color and the object is relatively small, such as a plastic mug, but not as small as an ball point pen, then we can print it.

Solvent Based Ink or UV Ink

We are currently using traditional solvent based inks. We plan to add a UV dryer within the next 12 months.  When we do, we will start using UV inks for as many products as possible.

Vinyl Graphics

We use a leading sign making software package (Signlab) connected to a Gerber 13" sprocket fed plotter. Vinyl graphics are suitable for many one of kind signs and banners as well as for automotive graphics.

Lamination

We have two laminators.  Our 24" model is designed for traditional heated laminates. Images slightly under 24" can be fully encapsulated.

Our second laminator is capable of handling 36" cold mount laminates.

Vehicle Graphics Installation

We have a vehicle bay accessed by a 10' x 10' drive in door. If your vehicle will fit through the door, then we can apply graphics to it any time of year in any weather.  If your vehicle must be lettered outdoors, then favorable weather conditions are a must.  Cold weather (below 55-60 degrees)   prohibits the proper application of graphics.

T-Shirts & Garments
